Hey, my name is Hayley. I'm 22 years old and live in Canada. My bun's name is Poppy and she's 8 years old and I've had her every single one of them! She's the sweetest little girl and although stubborn, she's a doll and a bit of a diva!
I kind of have an important question. I'm planning on getting a second bun and I want Poppy to feel comfortable and still loved. She's been the only bun we've ever had and while I wasn't planning on bonding them (the prospective other bun is a male), I think I may have to so that she at least tolerates him. Her happiness is what I am most concerned with. She's an older bun and unspayed and I don't know if I should be introducing a new friend to her. I love her so much and I've been wanting a second for awhile.
I know it may take some time for her to get used to the new little guy but I'm wondering if this is okay to do with her age and all. I think it should be, but my parents and brother aren't so sure. Do you guys have any advice for me? I take Poppy out everyday and I'm not going to stop giving her the attention she deserves. I love rabbits as evidenced by my post and I have lots of love to share! Poppy's happiness is of the utmost importance. Do you think it's workable so she at least doesn't act out (after the beginning)?
