So, when I went to collect Ms Hadley this afternoon, my teacher brought her out, and she was filthy. I mean, it is not what you want to see when you've left your bunny with someone.
Backstory: I had to go to Fiji with my family for the fisrt week of these school holidays. So I left Ms Hadley with my Agriculture teacher, on the school farm, which is where I got her from, because we breed them. So, I took her up on the last Friday of school, and I got back yesterday, so we went up to get her today.
Anyway, he brings her out, and she is covered in mud, like she's been living in filth for a week, but it turns out it was something even more upsetting. Apparently someone broke into the farm last night and opened the cages for all the animals. So all the rabbits, all the chickens, and the pig, etc. They were loose on the farm when he got there this morning. He managed to get the pig back, and round up all the chickens. But it took him significantly longer to catch the rabbits, and two of 12 are still missing. I caught one while I was there; Hadley's dad, Kevin. But it means hey were in the paddocks durning the storm last night, when it rained and was heaps windy.
She was a bit dazed and confused when I took her home, but she seems to have settled now that she's back in her cage. She had to have a bath though, which she was not impressed with, and spent the next two hours cleaning herself, and glaring at me. But I gave her some straw, so she seems to have forgiven me for now.
This is what she looked like when I brought her home. I don't think you can see all of the mud though, some of it had come off on the ride home.
Bath in the tub.
Not a happy bunny.
One ear forward, one ear back...way back.
She stopped running around for a face scratch.
Trying to make friends after the bath incident.
But she got pulled in for snuggle shots. :P
Eeep.
Being eaten by mama.
Chair sniffing.
Fatty fatty bunny.
Cleaning, after our bath.
Sqiush by lead.
Smooshy huggles, ...with our nicely stained brown feet. God, that is so annoying, cause we have a photoshoot for a magazine tomorow, and she is going to have brown feet.
Happily eating hay, like the bathing never happened.
