This is a letter to the editor about from someone who attended an Independence Day festival in St. Marys, GA in which she complains about a booth in which the prizes were bunnies....real bunnies! I agree with the letter. It's sad to think what will happen with most of these bunnies. :(

Finally, this last story gave me a chuckle, but not at first...The title of the story is "Why you shouldn’t throw rabbits out of windows..." - but don't worry, it's not like it sounds...unless you're greek...

16 of the 20 Columbia Basin pygmy rabbits released in the Sagebrush Flat Wildlife Area were killed by predators. 2 others, both males, wandered outside the study area and were re-captured, leaving only 1 male and 1 female in the wild which have bred successfully. More pygmy rabbits may be released in the area this fall.

The RSPCA will be accepting applications for brand new large rabbit hutches. Existing pet bunny owners who might not be able to afford the full price of a large rabbit hutch are encouraged to apply. The RSPCA is asking for a small donation (about a quarter of the cost of the rabbit hutch). Those who are unable to make a donation are still encouraged to apply anyways.
